1. Phone rings 12 times and then disconnects you.
2. Phone answers immediately with loud annoying static filled music and advertisements that repeat incessantly. After listening for 10 - 15 minutes, you are disconnected.
3. Phone answered with a phone tree. Press 2 for English and be disconnected.
4. Phone answered by an actual person. Ask if they speak English. They say a little. You try to communicate in mixed Spanglish and when they get too frustrated or confused you are "disconnected".
5. Phone is answered by a person. Person says they can help, then puts you on hold for 20 minutes. Then you are "disconnected".
6. Phone is answered by a person. They need to transfer you to someone else. During the transfer- "disconnected".
I've been on hold in scenario #5 for the time it has taken me to write this post. One-handed typing. Any guesses what will happen next??
ETA: I was on hold for 18:12 and then.....DISCONNECTED.
